a year agoDK Exclusive is the worst place I have ever stayed in—anywhere in the world. Not only did I repeatedly get sick from black mold, but when they finally "addressed" it, they just patched and painted over it instead of properly scraping and treating it. I also dealt with insects, loud noise all night, unresponsive maintenance, and the absolute worst administration team. On top of that, I experienced racism, harassment, and bullying. When I refused to pay rent until they properly fixed the black mold issue, they retaliated by having someone draft a fake and illegal eviction notice to try to scare me out. At one point, friends came to pick up food from me, and they accused me of being a drug dealer and even said, "Renting to Black people gives problems!" They showed up at my door unannounced, banging at all hours, despite my repeated requests for privacy. They also either lied about a “scary-looking” man allegedly coming to the building to look for me or refused to cooperate with police by providing security footage of an actual threat. To make things worse, they demanded rent early every month, and when I didn’t comply, they revoked my elevator privileges and blocked my deliveries from coming up. I was paying $2,200 USD for peace and security, yet I was treated like dirt—as if, because I’m Black, I couldn’t afford to live there legally. For my safety and peace of mind, I was forced to leave. If you’re considering this place, take caution. Speak to people who actually live there so you don’t have to go through what I did.

3 years agoGood experience here. One of the few hotels in Playa del Carmen whose photos accurately reflect reality. Very nice room, with a kitchen that could use a few more accessories. Security staff day and night. Elevator. Nice pool. I recommend this place.

2 years agoThe location is excellent, the place is clean, and what can I say about the superb view from the rooftop where we could see the sunrise, the sunset, and Cozumel! We were simply charmed.
